Voucher expansion is a risk Tennessee can’t afford.

Lawmakers are pushing to expand a voucher program with no proof it works, no data to back it up, and a growing record of misuse.

Why risk our kids’ education and millions in taxpayer dollars on a bad bet?

Tennessee’s voucher experiment has failed.

Tennesseans want straight answers about our voucher program, but those answers just aren’t coming. Instead of addressing our real concerns, the governor is pushing to double down on a costly system with no proof of results and no transparency.

What we do know paints a troubling picture. Most vouchers are going to families in the state’s wealthiest ZIP codes, not to the rural communities or lower income families used to justify the program. Records suggest many recipients were already in private schools, and the state still cannot account for spending, outcomes, or prior enrollment for a program funded with hundreds of millions of public dollars.

Tell Tennessee lawmakers:
NO on voucher expansion!

Tennessee’s voucher program has no transparency, no clear standards, and no proof it helps students. Public schools account for every dollar and every student, but private schools taking voucher funds are not required to report basic information about who they serve or how money is spent.

Even as public schools face tight budgets, lawmakers want to pour millions more into an unproven system with missing data, loose rules, and growing red flags. Tennesseans deserve programs that are fair, accountable, and effective before any expansion is considered.
